This week we discuss Star Wars 7, The Raid 2, Batman vs. Superman, Sandman, movies we’re looking forward to, MPAA, and Kevin Smith.
This week we discuss Amy Adams being cast as Lois Lane, Mad Men Season 5 becoming official, the Captain America Trailer, X-Men 4 and 5, Deadpool getting a separate movie, The Dark Knight Rises finishes a trilogy and starts a reboot, The Justice League Movie (that will never happen), Sucker Punch, and Red State.
So $140 later (two tickets for the wife and myself), I have seen Red State and listened to director Kevin Smith rehash everything he tweeted in the last few months.¬† I love the guy to death but unless he’s with a film next year, I’ll be skipping out on what has become a yearly Q/A.¬† [...]
This week we discuss Matthew Vaughn’s thoughts on the comic book film genre, Kelly Brook in Piranha 3D, Channing Tatum starring and producing The Contortionist’s Handbook, Zach Galifianakis’ beard, Kevin Smith’s Red State, Cinemapocalypse, The Expendables, The Other Guys, Friday Night Lights, Rubicon, and Mad Men.
This is the way the world ends. Not with a whimper but a bang. There’s no right place to begin with Southland Tales. The movie is Richard Kelly’s follow up to his cult hit Donnie Darko. I’ll be eating a heaping helping of crow after this… I’ve been a big supporter of this movie since I had first heard of it being in production. ¬†I even liked the trailer that everyone loathed. ¬†The fact of the matter is I’m a huge, unapologetic Kevin Smith fan. ¬†The dude is a total geek, [...]
Cop Out releases today and in lieu of a review, we’re running this great commercial that Smith did in the early 2000s for DVD recorders. Here is the trailer for the new Kevin Smith movie, Cop Out. You may know it as A Couple of Dicks but Warner Bros. was forced to change the title when the TV stations refused to run ads before 9pm. It seems a little over commercial but I’m willing to bet it will rule. It’s Kevin Smith after all right? Hit the jump and check it out.
