Breachtube: How Far Have Green Screen Effects Progressed?

I saw this earlier and was amazed at the amount of green screen use in television. I know a lot of people give George Lucas crap about his overuse of the tech in the prequels, but this reel certainly helps to argue that it works. Half of this stuff didn’t even look like an effect, which I guess is the point. But definitely give it a look after the jump.

Breachtube: LOST: Flight 815 Crash in Realtime

With Lost returning tonight, I thought this was appropriate. What if 24 and Lost mated and had a baby? This video ventures to answer that. If you’re any kind of Lost fan, this is pretty rad. They even through in some footage from the webisode stuff that I doubt most viewers have even seen. Check it out after the jump.

Breachtube: Mel Gibson in

I know we’re posting and talking lots of stuff from late night, but all the drama seems to have created a Golden Age of Late Night, so to speak. This clip from The Jimmy Kimmel Show has Mel Gibson in a psuedo trailer for a movie about Jimmy Kimmel. The video will speak for itself. Check it out after the jump

How The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien Will (Hopefully) Make Me Be a Better Person

I’ll warn you up front, this will be an unusual post from me. Media Breach is by nature not a website where we try to tell you how to live your life and we rarely if ever get into our writers’ personal lives. After all, we’re five dudes and a chick who dig film, TV, video games, or music and happen to like writing/talking about it. Yes, we do recommend things but we try to not make you feel like asshole if you disagree with one of our opinions. I know you’re wondering where this is going so let’s get to it.

The wife and I just finished watching the last episode of The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. I’m not here to review the show itself but I think it was a fitting conclusion to what will be remembered as one of the more tumultuous and public network television guffaws. But I’m not even going to lie- I shed a tear or two during O’Brien’s farewell speech. Read what the man said after the break.

Breachtube: Jimmy Kimmel rips Jay Leno

I know you guys might be tired of the onslaught regarding Coco and Leno but I figured that since this was on The Jay Leno Show you probably didn’t see it. I’m not too big a fan of Jimmy Kimmel but he certainly gets my vote here. Hit the jump and check it out.

Breachtube: Star Wars A-Team

Continuing this week’s Breachtube special is the Star Wars A-Team mash up you’ve been waiting for. Check it out after the break.

Conan O'Brien Strikes Back

Conan O’Brien, host of NBC’s The Tonight Show, has been in the headlines a lot this week.  For those of you that don’t know, NBC is struggling to find a winning formula for their late-night line up and are trying to push The Jay Leno Show into an “after the news,” 30 minute time slot, [...]

Breachtube: Star Wars MacGyver

Forging ahead with my three day Breachtube special, here is a mashup of Star Wars and the opening for MacGyver. Maybe if MacGyver (or MacGruber for that matter) had showed up for the prequels we wouldn’t hate them so much. Check it out after the jump.

Breachtube: Han Solo P.I.

This post begins a three day continuation celebrating what I can only hope is an internet fad. Star Wars and 80s television theme mashups. I say “hope” because I love these. The day that someone does one of these with the theme from Dallas is the day my heart stops. Without further ado, click the link to check this one out.

Breachtube: George Lucas on Daily Show

I totally missed this as I’m not an every day watcher of The Daily Show. But here’s a clip of George Lucas being interviewed by Jon Stewart. Check it out after the jump.

Breachtube: Slap Chop Remix

I know this isn’t necessarily falling into what we normally show here at The Breach, but I had to share. If you know who Vince is, then you know how annoying he is. Well imagine how annoying he is once this song gets stuck in your head. Enjoy after the break!

The High Road with Doug Benson

Following Doug Benson on Twitter can be a big pain in the ass.  Not only can he pound out around 500 tweets in seemingly no time at all, many of which I don’t care to read, I had to endure his endless slogging of Avatar for the few days after its release. That isn’t to [...]

Breachtube: Avatar Special on 60 Minutes

Other than the 60 Minutes fact checkers taking a nap while writing this intro, (Titanic is not the most profitable movie ever made but rather the highest grossing) this is a pretty cool look at Avatar and Mr. Cameron. Check it out after the break!

V

Now I’m no conspiracy theorist, but I know a few dozen. Over the years I’ve come to enjoy a good conspiracy and all the convoluted layers involved. The more uncorroborated the sources, the better. You could flip through ten pages of a David Icke book and find out that Reptilian overlord Al Gore was once [...]

East Bound and Down

Eastbound and Down is one of those increasingly rare comedy TV shows that upholds the highest standards of the genre. I’ve come to expect, as I’m sure you have, a certain sophistication in my comedy TV.  Whether it’s a prepubescent rape joke or a gleeful reference to buttfucking, it’s all in here and it’s all [...]
