SXSW 2010 Preview: Hubble 3D

I saw this preview 10 times the other night while waiting for Alice in Wonderland to begin. I’m a pretty big space nerd so I’m excited about this one. Check in out!

It doesn’t come out for 8 months or something but this looks completely awesome. Check out the trailer and heap your praise or air your grievances in the comments.

SXSW 2010 Preview: The Runaways

I decided to preview all of the mainstream flicks hitting SXSW for this week’s set of previews. We’ll start with The Runaways, starring Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart. It’s a movie about the titular group, which includes Joan Jett (Stewart), and their rise to fame in the 70s. Check out the trailer after the jump.

Trailer 2: Iron Man 2

This was just too awesome not to post. I let out an audible nerd gasm at one of the very last shots. My only fear is that this trailer will push expectations into Dark Knight territory but with Downey and Favreau steering the ship, I think we’ll be ok. Check it out after the jump.

SXSW 2010 Preview: Cyrus

Austin’s own Mark and Jay Duplass direct what many consider to be their first mainstream film with a calvalcade of comedic actors. These guys also directed The Puffy Chair and Baghead.

SXSW Preview Film: Greenlit

There’s lots of documentaries this year that I’m looking forward to. This one details the struggles a film production had while trying to be a “green production.” The concept might seem boring but check out the trailer and see for yourself.

SXSW 2010 Preview: American Grindhouse

I’ll be seeing this one for sure. It basically dives into the seedier period in film history and just how out of hand it got. Check out the trailer after the jump.

SXSW 2010 Preview: Tucker and Dale vs. Evil

I really don’t know what this movie’s about but it has Alan Tudyk so I’m there. It’s one of the midnight films of the festival, which are primarily genre/horror films. This one looks to please both fronts. The trailer is after the jump.

SXSW 2010 Preview: The People vs. George Lucas

Jesse and I will be attending the SXSW Film Festival this year so I thought I would start showing some previews of what we’re planning on seeing. First up is The People vs. George Lucas, which looks to be an exposé on how Lucas’ fans have turned against him due to all the choices he’s made with the Star Wars films. The whole topic is pretty hair splitting for film geeks so this looks like an interesting piece. Check out the trailer after the jump!

Trailer: A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)

Well this ought to be interesting. No matter how many times I’ve been burned by the Platinum Dunes horror remakes, I still get sold on the trailers every time. The one for the first Chainsaw remake is still one of my favorite trailers. Here is the trailer for the new A Nightmare of Elm Street. I’m sold, of course, but decide for yourself after the jump.

Trailer: Get Him to the Greek

Oh, hey look. A trailer that sells itself without being a redband. Russell Brand reprises his role as Aldous Snow from Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Check it out and tell us what you think, after the jump!

Trailer: Toy Story 3D

I tried to post this earlier today but the embed wasn’t working. Here it is now. Tell us what you think after the jump!

Heavy Rain (PS3) Demo Impressions

I’ve been following Heavy Rain since it was just a tech demo shown on the floor at E3 2006.  Then, it was merely a showcase of the PS3’s graphical and physical power, but developer Quantic Dream took it a step further and molded it into the game it is now.  Heavy Rain is an experiment [...]

Trailer: The Losers

I hadn’t even heard of this and then a co-worker showed it to me. I’m totally sold. Check it out after the jump.

Trailer: Big Money Rustlas (The Insane Clown Posse's 2nd Movie)

You read correctly, their second movie. I can’t believe this is something that’s even real. I wish I had more of a set up than that, but you really have to watch this. Check it out after the break.
