Adam's Crawl Space: Fear Dot Com

I’d like to start off by saying thanks to Desiree for last week’s Crawl Space recommendation of Beer for My Horses. I had intended on mentioning that in the review last week, but let it slip by.  So thanks a lot for suggesting I sit through that shit, Desiree.
I know what you’re thinking, “Adam says [...]

Adam's Crawl Space: Beer For My Horses

Let me preface the review by saying that I am not a fan of Toby Keith. I would rather hear the death rattle of my only child then listen to his music. Quit hyperventilating, I could say worse. Alright no I can’t, but at least I stole that line from David Cross, [...]

The Crazies (2010)

The Crazies has been on my radar since I saw the first trailer attached to Ninja Assassin.  I was vaguely familiar with the George Romero original, but hadn’t seen it in ages.  Like Dustin’s review pointed out though, I remember the movie just not being that great.   In fact, it was pretty fucking lame for [...]

Adam's Crawl Space: Day of the Dead (2008) with Bonus Mini-Reviews!

Aside from a few of the character names and an insulting nod to zombie test subject Bub, nothing else from the original is carried over to the remake of Day of the Dead by director Steve Miner.  No bunker, no bickering, and most importantly there was neither care given nor pride taken in the story.  [...]

Adam's Crawl Space: Ace Ventura: Pet Detective Jr.

Dear Family, Friends and beloved readers of the Breach,
The world is not an easy place to live.  There are sequels to movies that did not need sequels, and then there are sequels to movies that unlock dark places that I did not know existed.  As I sit here writing these last words, I must urge [...]

Adam's Crawl Space: Hannah Montana: The Movie

For starters: you’re welcome. I know a lot of you out there are probably just a wee bit chickenshit and will never permit yourself to watch the cinematic masterpiece that is Hannah Montana: The Movie. I thought I was one of those people as well, I really did. But the way I like to look at it is that I’m the bigger man here. I’m not afraid to put what little masculinity I have on hold for an hour and forty minutes. While holding back tears towards the end of the movie, I was afraid that the very masculinity I hit the pause button on might never come back.

Heavy Rain (PS3) Demo Impressions

I’ve been following Heavy Rain since it was just a tech demo shown on the floor at E3 2006.  Then, it was merely a showcase of the PS3’s graphical and physical power, but developer Quantic Dream took it a step further and molded it into the game it is now.  Heavy Rain is an experiment [...]

Adam's Crawl Space: Hollow Man 2

First off…Holy shit.  Ok.
The original Hollow Man was actually somewhat interesting.  It was Paul Verhoeven’s take on the Invisible Man, and featured Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Caine leading a team of scientists in researching invisibility.  Caine decides to use himself as the test subject because he’s an arrogant prick and ends up slowly going nuts [...]

The Rundown: What To Get on Blu-ray Tuesday

NEW RELEASES
Zombieland
I saw a completely unnecessary blurb about this movie(reviewed here) the other day that hailed it as Superbad meets Shaun of the Dead.  Ignore all the ridiculous comparisons to other movies and just know that this is a big bloody mess of pure zombie fun.   If you’re still on the fence with current zombie [...]

The Statute of Limitations on Spoilers

Let me preface this by saying that my thoughts and opinions do not necessarily reflect that of the Media Breach as a whole, but are totally awesome and should be paid attention to as if they were handed down by God himself. Or herself.

If you’ve read a review of anything in the modern age of the internet, then you’ve no doubt noticed that at some point the reviewer, without wanting to sacrifice his or her viewpoint, will need to include some information that might just ruin the movie for those that have not seen it.

Adam's Crawl Space: 17 Again

Welcome readers, to the first review of hopefully many that will reside in the Media Breach’s new column, Adam’s Crawl Space.  Now, exactly what the title of this column means I’d prefer to leave open to interpretation.  The image that comes to mind personally is that of me, huddled in my dark, creepy ‘crawl space,’ [...]

Trailer: MacGruber

Let me start by saying, I am no fan of the current incarnation of SNL.  I like some of the cast members, but I’ve sort of moved on from that style of sketch writing that they do on the show.  Better and edgier sketch comedy such as Mr. Show with Bob and David,  Stella (and [...]

The Lovely Bones

I blame Peter Jackson shedding all that weight for making me rather iffy on his latest effort, The Lovely Bones. I enjoyed him a little more when he was the energetic, portly man bounding around the set of the Lord of the Rings films. Of course this is completely irrational, but I said [...]

Ghostbusters 3 is real, Ivan Reitman directing

So after what has been years of speculation, including countless vague blurbs from Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray, MTV has confirmed that Ghostbusters 3 is indeed happening and will be directed by Ivan Reitman.   Other than Reitman adding that there is at least one draft turned in by Year One writers Lee Eisenberg [...]

Big Fan

Big Fan is not your typical sports movie. There are no last second heroics by an underdog, no dramatic slow motion game winning shots, and no lengthy locker room motivational speeches. I’ll just get this out of the way upfront- if you’re a passionate sports fan, which I most certainly am, then without [...]
