I noticed all of those strange things as well which is why I am also leaning to them being on purpose because there is no way such a big budget movie would be doing this without knowing it I am sure it is just a game being played throughout the movie to convey the insane theme even more.

^That right there is the key to this movie being great. Every time Scorsese releases a new film I'm reminded, “Oh yeah THIS is what movies are supposed to be like.” Great review, Desiree.

that's funny. and yeah, this movie is too “creepy” for your particular sentiments. definitely some major “horror-esque” sequences in this one. and the whole Buffalo Bill thing kinda fizzled out for me when i realized that he's in so many other movies that i love and just never realized it was him. i think for me, it's the way he delivers his lines in Shutter Island and the way his scene was shot. it was just so BB-ish. and Silence of the Lambs is one of the best moves ever.

that's awesome. i definitely noticed the “missing glass” . i'm so glad you noticed it too. i'm gonna have to say that that one was def. on purpose. he's so crazy! ok, and the other ones you mentioned i just plain didn't notice. BUT the one that stood out to me was at the end when MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Daniels in on the ground with the children. from one cut to the other the kids are on different sides of him. was that a mistake or on purpose? now that you mention all the different “mistakes” i'm just not sure that they are mistakes. hmmmm…….

I had no idea you had such a thing for Buffalo Bill.

Your review makes me want to see this, but then the fact that it seems creepy/depressing and opens up with PUKE is putting me off. But I think most ppl agree that my opinions about movies should be ignored anyways.
