Nice show. I'm going to go completely fucking nerd on y'all right here. Superman is the shit. I was in y'all's camp at first, especially when I was younger and strictly Marvel but in my golden years, I've come to really like DC and their characters mostly through their animation.

The problem with Superman is that they need to move on with regard to the stories they tell about him. Fuck the origin. Fuck Lex Luthor…actually, fuck the 1980's con man, land obsessed Lex Luthor.

A character like Superman needs to deal with bigger issues and bigger villains right now. He's practically a fucking god in comparison to the humans and other superheroes that surround him. Deal with how the world around him is made out of paper, how he has to hold back with anything and everything he does, even with his adversaries. Explore the great strength of character he has to not fall prey to just saying “fuck it, I own this bitch” and become ruler of the world. Bring on heavyweights like Braniac and Darkseid, characters that can actually pose a threat to him.

If you guys have the means or even the slightest interest and haven't done so already, check out DCAU's Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. I stand my this when I say, those are the BEST incarnations of any DC character out there and yes, even Batman and the Joker.
